Come October 11 & The world’s greatest cavalry stars are here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Get set to be inspired by the greatest military parade ever held in Malaysia with exciting performances such as war dances, bag pipes and brass bands, precision marching, military demonstrations and artillery performances.
These inspiring renditions will be performed by the Royal Malaysian Police, the Royal Malaysian Army, and armed forces from other countries including Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
The Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo 2014 Parade is organised by the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, and will be graced by Yang di-PertuanAgong and Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia on 11 October 2014.
The extravagant performance will be held over three days at the Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur, combined with various events in shopping centres around Malaysia. It is here that one can enthral the senses with iconic formation displays. The sheer precision of the military drills and the mesmerising orchestral music presentations are a feast to one’s eyes and ears.
“The Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo 2014 is one of the major events in Visit Malaysia Year 2014, and is organised with the vision of promoting friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and its overseas counterparts. The event will certainly be a colourful array of festivities with the participants marching, proudly in their ceremonial uniforms,” says Mr.Manoharan Periasamy, Director, Tourism Malaysia, India.
The spectacular display is bound to attract locals as well as foreign tourists, young and old alike. In 2014, Malaysia celebrates its fourth VISIT MALAYSIA YEAR (VMY) with the theme “Celebrating 1Malaysia Truly Asia”. The VMY 2014 promotional campaign has started this year with a series of year-long special events and activities leading to VMY 2014. It will contribute to the Government’s target to receive 36 million tourist arrivals and RM168 billion in receipts by 2020, as outlined in the Malaysia Tourism Transformation Plan (MTTP) 2020.
