Pampers #SoftestForBabySkin Happiness Personified!! Softness Multiplied!!!

Babies are the most divine creations of God, pure, delicate, soft, and innocent!

& we mothers are custodians for the life time of this divine GIFT. Motherhood brings along joy, happiness, pride, completeness but not without its own set of apprehensions. Expectant mothers need to be most careful about bringing this very special gift of god on earth. The time is tough when one is expecting as we want the best for our new-born. Here it is the love labour JOY!

pampers 6

Being a mother especially for the first time is a great feeling and no words are enough to contain that feeling. When the child arrives in mother’s hand, she wants everything best for the new-born, everything special, everything soft and everything cuddly…even for her pee and poo.

So the activity which immediately starts as soon as baby arrives in the world is peeing and pooing which poses quite a challenge for the young mothers.

PAMPERS – Diapers

Pampers

We are mothers want to use Softest diapers and I must say PAMPERS are softest for baby’s skin, hence preferred by mothers all over the world. It is very important to keep baby’s bums dry and smooth as his skin is unable to bear even slightest of harshness. Skin’s health is best maintained by soft and dry diapers because our baby’s skin is smooth, soft and highly delicate which needs that extra care and attention. This is provided by Pampers Premium care pants surely. So I how do I know that? I gave the hamper of Pampers Premium Care pants to my grand-daughter (my niece’s daughter Saanvi) and my niece Shilpi was very happy with the gift I gave Saanvi, as she was most joyful and playful in them. They are made of softest and most hygienic material which is ideal for baby’s soft, smooth and delicate skin.

Moisturizing Baby Lotion

pampers 3

This is very important that baby’s facial and body skin remains hydrated and breathes well. It remains soft to touch and has glow on her skin. Maintaining baby’s skin is every mother’s concern and for that we should use best of the moisturising baby lotion available in the market. It keeps her skin smooth and glowing but it is very important that baby’s skin adjusts well to the skin. Mothers must ensure that the lotion provides softness and not slightest of the rash, as rashes give utmost discomfort to a baby.

Baby Massage Oil

pampers 2

Babies are most happy after getting good massage followed by hot water shower. Massaging well is very important for baby’s growth and glow of the skin. It is very important that baby massage oil is made of healthier ingredients which give strength to the baby’s muscles and bones. Its texture should be smooth too for his delicate skin. I would recommend a soft baby massage oil as very important element in keeping his skin smooth and soft.

Soft Baby Mattress

pampers 4

The softer the mattress, happier the baby. A baby spends long hours on mattress, of course after her mother’s lap which is softest of all. So it is very important that mattress is made of pure cotton or of some delicate fibre which is very soft on baby’s skin so that he enjoys being on bed and gets sound sleep and fun filled play time. Nowadays you get very soft and cuddly mattresses which keep the babies happy & healthy and are soft on baby’s skin too. After remaining secure in mother’s womb for so long, it is important that he feels the same warmth and snug when he is out of it. Here mattress has to provide that comfort.

Cuddly Baby Blanket

pampers 5

Baby needs to remain warm and snugly all the time so that he gets attuned to the atmosphere outside his mother’s womb soon. Here soft baby blankets are very important, nowadays we get very soft, delicate and cosy baby blankets which should be on every new mother’s wish – list. Blanket should be made of extremely soft and hygienic material as it maintains direct touch with baby’s soft skin. It is very important that very proper selection is done of the blanket for your darling baby.

Most importantly mothers too should keep their hands moisturised and wear cottony comfy clothes for the comfort of the baby.
According to me these five things are must for young mothers to equip themselves with. These will not only help in keeping your baby’s skin soft and glowing and health pink, but also your senses cool too!

“Pampers brings you the softest ever Pampers Premium Care Pants.  Its cotton-like softness is #SoftestForBabySkin and allows it to breathe, thus keeping baby’s skin soft and healthy, and your baby happy.

Triveni Ethnics: Organically grown Corporate!

Must Read account of Surat based Triveni Ethnics which has totally transformed how Saree business is done in India.

All great things start with a move…as did Triveni Ethnics three decades ago when in 1985, Mr Giridhar Sarraf moved from one textile hub in the North (Read: Varanasi) to another textile hub in the West (Read: Surat) to setup Sakambari Silk Mills. Sakambari manufactured synthetic sarees under the brand name “Triveni Sarees”. Leaving their Suiting/ Shirting business behind, Sarraf started from the scratch with Triveni Ethnics – named after his mother.

DSC00028

It is predominantly a traditional family set – up where Senior Sarraf still comes to office daily, followed by Sons Shailesh Sarraf, who understands Surat’s textile industry like no other and has been driving home much of the product innovation, core sales and marketing revitalization; IITian & MITian Arvind Sarraf who brings in high level of efficiency, digitization, monitoring & innovation in the organization culture.

Indeed, the sons have taken Triveni Ethnics to new highs following their father’s vision. Today it is a well-known name in Sarees and ethnic wear. I would like to term it “Organically grown, Corporate”

Sarraf’s model Triveni on microcosmic India, a long lived traditional system, blended in with contemporary elements, bringing on cultural change. Being organically built from the scratch, they know how to be frugal, prudent in avoiding wastage, and quite frankly – even bearing with some inconveniences. It seems they believe in “No pains, no gains.”

Speaking to travel-knots, Shailesh Sarraf said, “Our biggest markets are UP and Bihar followed by Gujarat which are markets for classes as well as masses. Ours is a distributor driven business where we have distributors in almost all the states, who visit our office regularly to pick –up sarees according to their markets. ”

DSC00009

The office set – up is a blend of tradition and modernism. It has a cabin well – equipped for marketing and Digital presentations and outside you have traditional Gaadis for distributors to have a dekko at wide range of sarees. We too seated ourselves on Gaadis to catch the glimpse of Triveni Sarees. Shailesh adds, “To give a contemporary look and feel to the brand, we have added Salwar Suits, Lehenga Cholis, Lehenga Sarees, Kurtis, Jewellery, Cotton and Silk Sarees to our collection thus Triveni Sarees became Triveni Ethnics.”

The Digital Brain behind the brand, Arvind shared, “Though it is distributor led business but we track all our orders online which keep us updated about the movement of orders.”

DSC00012

Not only this, he added, “Our online platform – e-commerce is also very strong where we ship nearly thousand sarees a day to our customers not only in India but across the globe.” It is a very robust platform and shopping of sarees here is quite an experience. (I have experienced it myself).

As I mentioned earlier, it is run like a corporate – I will take you through all!

The Triveni team comprises of Designers from NIFT who churn out designs and designs to suit every palette.  Shalini Raj who is chief designer, also a drape expert was quite a delight, she showed us her drawing book which had many interesting designs and explained us how design team works. Then we moved to digital design team and e-commerce team where Nupur Chaturvedi told us that how they align shipments, orders, designs and tacking of the products.

We were shown the raw material, laces, sequins, decorations in hordes which are used by the design team. For the first time we came to know that what a humongous effort it is to make one saree! From here we moved to the ware house, which was huge and looked like a sea of sarees but, but, it was most organized warehouse I had ever been to. Mr Vineet Agarwal who manages it all delightfully shared his management techniques.

Conscious of the fact, that Saree remains favourite with the younger lot like their mothers and grandmothers, group does lot of engagement programs with young and upwardly mobile ladies. Not only their range of sarees appeals to the young Indian women by virtue of their design, fabrics, styling, colour range and most importantly, online access, their campus outreach programs are something to talk home about. Speaking on the subject, Nupur Sharma told us, “We do number of outreach programs in Campus and Corporates like Live Projects and Contests, Campus Ambassador, U- Design Contest, Saree Draping workshops and Triveni Case Challenge.” Indeed a great initiative to keep our youngsters abreast with most prominent symbol of Indian culture – The Saree!

Ridhi Sidhi Designers

Besides, Group highly appreciates the role played by Bloggers in popularizing Triveni Sarees Sarees and ethnic wear, they run an exclusive outreach program where they ship sarees to Bloggers from all over the world. I must tell you that Triveni Sarees have graced some big red carpet events by Bloggers from Europe and the US. These bloggers flaunt these sarees on special occasions and post it on Triveni’s face book page / twitters handles whom Triveni terms as Triveni Brand Ambassadors – Priyanka Chopras of this world, take a walk…

Now plans are on the anvil, to take their brand Ship Kala forward which has beautiful collection of handicraft sarees and ethnic wear. Arvind feels that it is high time that artisans get their due, and he wants to take Ship Kala to foreign shores for his patrons.

Must admit had loads of fun amidst Sarrafs, Sarees & Surat!

If you are a saree buff, visit their website: http://www.triveniethnics.com and order some for the festive season, I must tell you, you would be turning your friends Green with just one click! Rest Triveni Saree will do!

Mohini & Anish Joshi on a scenic North India Trip – Exclusive Photos !

My ex-colleague and dear friend who shares same passion for travel with me, was recently on a trip to North India with her husband Anish Joshi, also a travel buff. She was gracious enough to share her few exclusive photograph of that trip.

First picture is of holiest & divine Golden Temple in Amritsar:

Golden Temple Amritsar

The Harmandir Sahib also Darbar Sahib and informally referred to as the “Golden Temple” is the holiest Sikh gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. The city was founded in 1574 by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das. The Harmandir Sahib was designed by the fifth guru, Guru Arjan, who had the cornerstone laid by the Muslim Sufi saint Sai Hazrat Mian Mir on 28 December 1588. Guru Arjan completed the Adi Granth, the holy scripture of Sikhism, in 1604 and installed it in the gurdwara.

There are four doors to get into the Harmandir Sahib, which symbolise the openness of the Sikhs towards all people and religions. The present-day gurdwara was rebuilt in 1764 by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia with the help of other Sikh Misls. In the early nineteenth century, Maharaja Ranjit Singh secured the Punjab region from outside attack and covered the upper floors of the gurdwara with gold, which gives it its distinctive appearance and its English name.
The Harimandir Sahib is considered holy by Sikhs. The holiest text of Sikhism, the Guru Granth Sahib, is present inside the gurdwara during daytime and the holy book goes for Sukhasan during the night time. Its construction was mainly intended to build a place of worship for men and women from all walks of life and all religions to come and worship God equally. Over 100,000 people visit the holy shrine daily for worship, and also partake in the free community kitchen and meal (Langar) that is a hallmark of all Sikh Gurudwaras.

Joshi’s next favourite in North India would be Khajjiar…Mini Switzerland

Khajjiar is a hill station in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, India, located approximately 24 km from Dalhousie. Khajjiar sits on a small plateau with a small stream-fed lake in the middle that has been covered over with weeds. The hill station is surrounded by meadows and forests. It is about 6,500 feet (2,000 m) above sea level in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas and peaks can be seen in the distance. It is part of the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary.

On 7 July 1992, Mr. Willy T. Blazer, Vice Counsellor and Head of Chancery of Switzerland in India brought Khajjiar on the world tourism map by calling it “Mini Switzerland”. He also put a sign board of a yellow Swiss hiking footpath showing Khajjiar’s distance from the Swiss capital Bern-6194 km. Khajjiar is among the 160 locations in the world that bear topographical resemblance with Switzerland.

Joshi’s next favourite…McLeodanj

McLeod Ganj (also spelt McLeodGanj or Mcleodganj) is a suburb of Dharamsala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” (a short form of Dharamshala used mainly by Tibetans) because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.

It has an average elevation of 2,082 metres (6,831 feet). It is situated on the Dhauladhar Range, whose highest peak, “Hanuman Ka Tibba”, at about 5,639 metres (18,500 feet), lies just behind it.

How could Joshi’s miss Wagah Border Ceremony while in Amritsar?

The Wagah border closing ‘lowering of the flags’ ceremony, or The Beating Retreat ceremony, is a daily military practice that the security forces of India (Border Security Force) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) and have jointly followed since 1959.
The drill is characterized by elaborate and rapid dance-like maneuvers, which has been described as “colourful” . It is alternatively a symbol of the two countries’ rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.

This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides, and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations’ flags. It is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gates at the border are opened and the two flags are lowered simultaneously. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side, followed by the closing of the gates again. The spectacle of the ceremony attracts many visitors from both sides of the border, as well as international tourists.

Mohini & Anish were lucky & proud Indians to be there!

#FrizFreeHair Forever with Vatika Jasmine Hair Oil

It was an Indiblogger Invite so I had to make it & I made it!

DSC00052

October 10, Saturday, 2015, 11:30 AM, B J Hall, Vile Parle, Dabur Vatika Product Launch!

Initially I was little reluctant to go as I have been out on most of the weekends. Then I read the mail again only to find that Indi Rock Band would be performing and that perked me up. Though it cannot be denied that subject was hair, for which we are quite touchy about as women, so that was an add-on. All in all, I was convinced that I am going to have a good time with Indiblogger team and fellow bloggers. I recollected the last bloggers meet by Indiblogger for Dove where we made some great friends. Moreover this was the first event of the year 2015 from Indiblogger stable.

audience 1
Late as ever, I just made it on time and familiar faces, Vineet and Shruti greeted me & I felt at home. Soon after I entered, the venue was converted into a Jazz Studio and we were asked to move to front closer to the stage. Here familiar faces Anoop Johnson on Guitar and Nihal Lazarus on mike lit up the stage with heavy metallic band. Disappointed to see, Nihal’s long hair chopped…he had wonderful long hair! I am sure by using Dabur Vatika Jasmine hair Oil, his hair will grow longer & lustrous. Nihal, give Vatika a chance!
They belted some great numbers like Pink Floyd – We don’t Need No Education and Poker Face by Lady Gaga, which got all of us head banging! I have heard Nihal and Anoop earlier also but this was the best!

The session started with brief self introduction of bloggers which was very interesting as it is great to know that many of the bloggers are multi-taskers right from being Chef, Social Workers, School Teachers, Media Professionals to full timers. But one thing was common, the passion for blogging! Oh yea, they all introduced themselves from the heart, special mention of Ms Geeta Sreeharan who cooks meal of 28 cancer inflicted children every Sunday. Hats Off!

The morning moved towards afternoon and some enlightening Dabur Vatika Sessions unfolded and their videos were something to talk home about. These chronicled the journey of hair styling in films right from 40s to 2015. Some very interesting hair dos indeed were shown. The event was dedicated to the launch of “Dabur Vatika Jasmine Non-Sticky Coconut Hair Oil” and I must say it was done with élan, with life – size bottle cut out of Oil landing on stage amidst smoke and cheer! The presentations were made by Dabur Vatika officials who patiently answered all the questions fielded by bloggers. Through them we came to know that Dabur products are result of constant Research & Development, which they heavily invest in and no wonder, today Dabur is a 1000cr Company worldwide.

Coming to Vatika Products, coming from the House of Dabur, the trust comes by default. I have seen my grandmother using Dabur Amla hair oil who had beautiful long hair. So my relationship with Dabur dates back to my childhood…Dabur lal Dunt Munjan, Lal Tel, Chyavanprash and I recently gifted a pack of three…Dabur Baby Massage Oil to a young mother! I have used Dabur Vatika Shampoo also which comes in slick packaging and I must say, very good for daily use, but not used the hair oil. Now I will use it as I have received it in my goody-bag for some great results for my fast depreciating hair line. I will post the product review then…

After playing the game: Rock, Scissor, Paper, which I lost as ever, we headed towards food station…oh yes, in the mean time I made a great friend Kashmira Pal who too is travel blogger like me. We had some great conversation over lunch. The lunch was sumptuous with Italian Pizzas, Pastas and Indian full course followed by great desserts selections.

games

Last but no the least, I too was given an opportunity to share my hair secrets amidst such distinguished gathering…overwhelmed!

After lunch I headed towards “Styling Station” put up by Vatika to have a Dekko of the styling done by the team for lovely bloggers!
All in all it turned out to be a great Bloggers Meet, where I badly missed my daughter Tanya who would have had ball of a time amidst pretty and young bloggers. I must tell you that friends she made in Dove Meet are still her great pals. She called me to say Hi to Anoop and Nihal and Vineet and I just did that while parting!

LG NEXUS 5X – #ChampIsBack – Sweetest & Cutest!!

With festive Season being round the corner, I am seriously contemplating gifting myself a new mobile. But believe me it is not an easy task, particularly when you are inundated with advices from friends, colleagues, family, husband, and teenage kids. To add fuel to the fire are so many ads running on television, websites, news papers, magazines, hoardings…where not. My hunt is still on and would have remained on…till I got an alert from blogadda twitter handle with hashtag #ChampIsBack. It was an opportunity for bloggers to write about product LG NEXUS 5X phone. But which champ is back and where it had gone, I wondered. Later on that!

m-footer-desktop

First thing which caught my attention about this gadget was that it is an LG phone, sorry to say that but LG meant Refrigerators and TVs for me till now. I am a proud owner of many LG gadgets in my house and a very happy one. For me mobiles are always Samsung, Nokia, Asus, Lenovo, I phones or our home grown – Karbonn and Micromax. So my curiosity grew in the product and my blogpost is outcome of that research.

26346354

I will not shirk from saying that being a blogger and media professional, my usage is quite heavy and I am a phone freak too. I like to experiment with new gadget given the slightest opportunity but it remains a wishful thinking. So coming back to LG Nexus 5X, my knowledge about LG mobiles is quite minimal as I always thought that these are very technical gadgets which are ideal for developers and not for technically challenged people like me.

It seems this is not the case with LG NEXUS 5X as it is back with user – friendly features, thus aptly trending #ChampIsBack!

Why I would like to go for it, Read on to Know:

Sexy Looks!

5x-gallery-thumb-01

First thing which I liked about it is its Sexy design, which matches the polish and finish of any other expensive phone. The screen size is also very good with its 5.2” display, thus making it easier for me to read long stories. The rounded corners and slim design would make it comfortable to use with single hand, needless to say comfortable to carry in our clutches/ purses. Capturing the soul of the Nexus family, the 5X would be able to offer good performance in a compact, lightweight device that’s ready to go anywhere, anytime. As a woman buyer and ardent mobile user, design element is very important for me and this phone scores well on that front.

Better Battery Life!!

5x-usbc

So another feature which makes it a fantastic buy is it long battery – life, I heard that it lasts somewhere between 10-12 hours which is good enough for the day, Not only this it looks like one of the fastest Android phone thus making brousing easier and hassle free, going by the fact, the news buff I am. Moreover I am very lazy to charge my phone, even after carrying power bank in my bag all the time. So here long battery life would work well for me.

Lights, Camera, Action!!!

index

Now coming to the last, but not the least, a high performance camera, this is my most important tool as a travel blogger which I need to be armed with all through my day’s work. I would prefer it over any other phone as Nexus camera shines in low-light conditions. Its larger 1.55μm pixels capture more light even in the dimmest conditions to produce stunning details and sharp images. With a faster Google Camera app, I never miss a moment, and with the smart Google Photos app, the memories are easy to relive and always at the fingertips.

5x-camera

As a blogger it is very important for me to organize my photos very well and with LG Nexus 5X being armed with Google Photos which is a new way to store, search, and share all our photos and videos, it would certainly make a good buy. Here we can store an unlimited amount of photos and videos at high quality for free, and access them anywhere. This way being automatically organized and searchable by the people, places, and things in them, our memories are always easy to find and share.

Not only this, it is a devise which is future ready. You can download lot of apps and it is ready for Android 6 Marshmallowsthe sweetest thing about this cutest device.

It is important that we take our pick before buying a Mobile Phone, so if you are looking for fast performance, sexy looks, good phone, a good-looking user interface and promise of faster Android updates in future, then LG NEXUS 5X is for you. Minor issues you can ignore.

Now I will wait for my LG NEXUS 5X, whether I win it through Blogadda contest or shell out 30 grand for this prized possession.
If I get one, whichever way, I will post a detailed review on my Blog for my readers to feel motivated to buy it

“I am participating in the #ChampIsBack activity at BlogAdda.

Pampers, must for pampering your kids!

Pampers Premium Care Pants Logo

I was quite surprised to note that we had to write review of Pampers product – New Pampers Premium Care Pants as we are not the actual users and with whom we have shared the product are babies who can barely share their experiences. They can’t actually tell how much product differs from another product.  So we had to judge by the reactions of the baby, how happy he/ she was when he was in Pampers Premium care pants or how well he slept. Hence going by these two observations, I can safely say Pampers works.  With the look and touch and feel of the product, it is certainly most hygienically produced and maintains highest standards of quality.

New Pampers Premium Care Pants are so soft and dry that your baby won’t even notice them, owing to Pampers 5 star skin protection:
• Soft materials/fabrics: specially chosen with delicate little bottoms in mind
• All-around waistband and soft cuffs: for a comfortable, snug fit minimizing leakage
• Up to 12 hours of dryness: Pampers core quickly absorbs helping keep wetness away from the skin to help skin protection
• Baby lotion: A drop of lotion to help protect your baby’s precious skin
• Wetness Indicator turns from yellow to blue when in contact with fluid to help parents know when it might be time to change.Pampers 1

Hence must for every young mother & not so young grand-mothers. I know my friend Sunita Rajawade is super happy using Pampers for her toddler twins!!!

This blog post is written for the Pampers #SoftestForBabySkin activity in association with BlogAdda.
